Harefield Recycling: As part of a phased development we undertook several studies to assess the impacts of new buildings and facilities including a 9m high road salt storage dome in open countryside and Green Belt.
Rookery Pit Waste Recycling: ASA played a supporting role to Kirkham Landscape Planning preparing visual evidence for a Parliamentary Inquiry to oppose a large incinerator proposed in Bedfordshire.
Bledlow Solar Farm: We were appointed by the Bledlow Solar Park Action Group to review the applicant’s LVIA and supporting documentation applying for consent for a large solar farm. We illustrated with photomontages that the development was totally out of character and out of scale for this deeply rural location and would have an impact on the nearby AONB.
Norton Field Farm Wind Turbine: Appointed by ADAS, we assessed the impacts of this single wind turbine development on a rural landscape to be acceptable. The landscape setting was well chosen in limiting the impacts on the surrounding landscape and restricting significant views to few visual receptors.
Southoe Wind Farm:
Anthony was appointed to oppose this development of 3 turbines near the A1 in Huntingdonshire, acting as expert landscape witness at Public Inquiry. Despite the inspector acknowledging that the landscape impacts were shown to be major, he decided in favour of the development concluding that the weight of the argument came down on the side of the national energy need.
