Norton Fitzwarren: This LVIA was used to support a successful application for a large new housing site on the southern edge of the town in Somerset.
Goring House: This innovative and stylish house on the river frontage outside Goring was lost at appeal, but our LVIA was complemented as part of a peer review.
Housing at Henley: Our LVIA demonstrated that this site (within AONB) could include a new housing development by changing the layout to reduce the impact at the site boundaries, reducing the densities and changing the building styles. The site was shown to form a logical extension to the settlement edge, and bordering an open space which is already used as a village green.
Faringdon Housing: This LVIA demonstrated how this housing site could be integrated within a new extended edge to the settlement and that with a landscape-lead solution to the site layout, with appropriate house heights and styles, the development could overcome concerns by the planning authority on landscape and visual grounds. Our study overcame objections from the local authority landscape officer and the site has been allocated for housing with an increased number of units.
